You will find here under frequently asked questions. Please read them, as it will probably answer some of your questions. We are of course here to answer any other questions that you may have.

Making a reservation

I do not know the exact dates of check in and check out. Can I still make a reservation?

No, In order to make a reservation with us, we need to have check in and check out dates. (Understandably, the check in date is crucial.)

Can I change the check in date after the reservation has been confirmed?

Yes, you can. However, there may be extra charges.

I am a U.S. resident. Can I use a co-signer for a consumer credit report if I have bad credit or no credit?

We first must have your information to run your credit report. We will accept a co-signer depending on your report. We will of course need to run your co-signer's credit report as well.

I am a foreign resident and I do not have a social security number. Can I still stay at Vantaggio Suites?

Yes, just provide us with the information regarding your immigration visa status. For example, a student visa (F-1), a work visa (H-1) or a tourist visa (B-1) etc. Please be aware that we require a higher deposit for tourists with a visa waiver and tourist visa B1/B2.

What kind of lease options do you offer?

We offer a month-to-month lease and a 3 month lease. Please see pricing for details.

Do you have weekly stays available?

Yes we do. Please see the pricing for details.

Can I choose the floor and location of my unit?

No, unfortunately, you cannot. However, you can always make a request and we will try to match it.

What if I want to cancel my reservation?

If reservation is canceled for any reason 3 days after the reservation is confirmed, you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee for State St. and $250 cancellation fee for Broadway.

Can I cancel my reservation after check in?

There is no cancellation policy applied once you checked in. There is no refund for weekly stays and 30 day notice to vacate is required for monthly stay.

Payment

When do I pay?

For a weekly stay, the total is due at the time of check-in. For monthly stays, the $25 application fee and $100 holding deposit are due at the time of the reservation and will be charged to your credit card. The rest of the charges are due upon check-in. Please note: At the Broadway location, the holding deposit is $250.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, money orders, traveler's checks, and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard ONLY) for monthly stays. Personal checks is accepted if credit check is conducted. No starter checks are accepted. Weekly stay payments can only be by credit card. (Visa or MasterCard ONLY)

Can I pay with foreign currency?

No, we only accept payments in U.S. dollars.

Is the security deposit refundable?

Yes, it is refundable upon or after check out. The refund is usually made by check at State Street. The security deposit is not returned by cash.At our Broadway location, it may be refunded to your credit card if you paid it that way.

Q. How much is the security deposit?

A. State St.: For US citizens we conduct a credit check and the deposit range is from $500.00 to one month of rent. If you are non US citizen and have a "Tourist Visa" the deposit is equal to "one month of rent". If you have a "Student Visa" the deposit is $250.00. Broadway: For US citizens we conduct a credit check and the deposit range is from $650.00 to two month of rent. If you are non US citizen and have a "Tourist Visa" the deposit is equal to "one month of rent". If you have a "Student Visa" the deposit is $650.00 for studios and equal to one month of rent for all other units.

Accommodations

How big are the units?

State St.: Small single is approx. 180 sq. ft., Large single is approx. 230 sq. ft., Double occupancy is approx. 230 sq. ft.Broadway location: a studio is approx 400-450 sq.ft., a small one bedroom is approx 520 sq.ft., a large one bedroom is approx 620 sq.ft., and two bedroom is approx 700 sq.ft.

What does "matching" mean?

Matching means that you share a unit with another person of the same gender in a double occupancy unit -- "Roommate" style. We provide a roommate for you.

Can I use internet in the unit?

State St.: Complementary wireless internet access is available throughout the building. We also have community PCs for our guests and 3 study rooms with cable connections, opened 24 hours. Broadway: We provide DSL internet access in each unit.

Are utilities included?

State St.: Yes, all utilities are included in the rent. Broadway: Yes, all utilities are included in the rent except the electricity exceeding over $100 per month.

Are the units furnished?

Yes, all our units are furnished. State Street: our units are simply furnished, with a twin size bed, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The units are also equipped with a TV, a telephone, a small fridge and a microwave. Broadway: our units are fully furnished and are equipped with a full kitchen (with cooking utensils and china), a TV, and a DVD player. Each unit also comes with an iron, an iron board, and a vacuum cleaner.

Is there a private bathroom in the unit?

Yes, at both locations, all units have a private bathroom.

Is there a kitchen in every unit?

State St: We have one large common kitchen/eating area shared by all residents. A limited number of cooking utensils is provided.
Broadway: Yes.

Are linens included?

Yes, they are included.

Is there air conditioning and heating in the unit?

There is no air conditioning but there is heating.

Do you provide housekeeping service?

Bi-weekly housekeeping service is included at the State Street location. We offer weekly housekeeping service at the Broadway location for an additional $150 per month.

Can I smoke in the room?

State St.: Yes, you can if you are in single room. In a Matching room, you will need to discuss with your roommate.Broadway: No, smoking is prohibited in the room, however each room has a balcony and you can smoke on the balcony.

Miscellaneous

Is there nearby transportation?

Yes, there are a trolley station and bus stops within close walking distance of State Street. There is also a #2 bus stop within walking distance of the Broadway location. For more information about transportation in San Diego, please go to www.sdcommute.com.

Do you provide a pick-up service from the airport?

No. You may want to take a cab to Vantaggio Suites and it should cost you less than $10. A cab ride to the Broadway location may cost more.

Is the neighborhood safe?

Generally, yes, but we encourage you to go online and research both the Golden Hill (Broadway) and Little Italy (State Street) neighborhoods to determine this for yourself.

Do you provide breakfast services?

No.

Do you have parking spaces?

State St.: yes, we have a parking facility. There is an additional charge of $125 per month or $45 per week for a space. However, our parking spaces are limited and parking reservation is on a first come first served basis.Broadway: an assigned underground parking space is included in the rent.In addition, there are additional parking remote deposits of $20 for State St. and $25 for Broadway. (Refundable)

I am under 18 years old. Can I stay at Vantaggio Suites?

Without being accompanied by an adult who will be financially responsible, no minor (under 18) is allowed to stay alone at Vantaggio Suites.

Do you have any social networking sites?

Yes we a facebook fan site. We update the fan site constantly with our current events, activities and resident photos. Please become a fan.

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. Yes. At the Broadway location only. Only one pet or animal under 20lbs is accepted.

Can I check in before 3pm?

Our guaranteed check in time is 3pm. However you can arrive earlier andleave your luggage at the front desk. There are many restaurants within walking distance, Balboa Park, and the Gaslamp District. We also have a lounge and PC rooms that you are welcome to use before the check in time.

I am planning to check out very early in the morning, can I still check out?

Front desk is open 24 hours. You can check out anytime before 11am. However, we recommend you to come see us one day before, between 8am and 4pm to finish your paperwork for the check out.

Can I check out late?

Unfortunately, we don't accept late check out. Our check out time is by11am. We recommend you to reserve an extra day if you would like to checkout late. However, we can hold your luggage at the front desk for a few hoursafter your check out if you wish.
