San Diego, located at the extreme South of California and neighbor to Mexico, is being regarded as one of the best places to live in the United States. Its climate, beaches and surrounding areas add up to its charm and quality of life.
You will find here under frequently asked questions. Please read them, as it will probably answer some of your questions. We are of course here to answer any other questions that you may have. Making a reservation Q: I do not know the exact dates of check in and check out. Can I still make a reservation? A: No, In order to make a reservation with us, we need to have check in and check out dates. (Understandably, the check in date is crucial.) Q: Can I change the check in date after the reservation has been confirmed? A: Yes, you can. However, there may be extra charges. Q: I am a U.S. resident. Can I use a co-signer for a consumer credit report if I have bad credit or no credit? A: We first must have your information to run your credit report. We will accept a co-signer depending on your report. We will of course need to run your co-signer's credit report as well. Q: I am a foreign resident and I do not have a social security number. Can I still stay at Vantaggio Suites? A: Yes, just provide us with the information regarding your immigration visa status. For example, a student visa (F-1), a work visa (H-1) or a tourist visa (B-1) etc. Please be aware that we require a higher deposit for tourists with a visa waiver and tourist visa B1/B2. Q: What kind of lease do you offer? A: We only offer a month-to-month lease. Q: Can I choose the floor and location of my unit? A: No, unfortunately, you cannot. However, you can always make a request and we will try to match it. Payment Q: When do I pay? A: For a weekly stay, the total is due at the time of check-in. For monthly stays, the $25 application fee and $100 holding deposit are due at the time of the reservation and will be charged to your credit card. The rest of the charges are due upon check-in. Please note: At the Broadway location, the holding deposit is $250. Q: What type of payments do you accept? A: We accept cash, money orders, traveler's checks, personal checks and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard ONLY) for monthly stays. Weekly stay payments can only be by credit card, Visa or Master cards. Q: Can I pay with foreign currency? A: No, we only accept payments in U.S. dollars. Q: Is the security deposit refundable? A: Yes, it is refundable upon or after check out. The refund is usually made by check at State st. At our Broadway location, it may be refunded to your credit card if you paid it that way. Accommodation Q: How big are the units? A: State St.: Small single is approx. 180 sq. ft., Large single is approx. 230 sq. ft., Double occupancy is approx. 230 sq. ft. Broadway location: a studio is approx. 400 sq. ft. Q: What does "matching" mean? A: Matching means that you share a unit with another person of the same gender in a double occupancy unit -- "Roommate" style. We provide a roommate for you. Q: Can I use internet in the unit? A: State St.: We are currently working on providing a wireless connection throughout the whole building. We do however have two computer labs with internet access, opened 24 hours. One is equipped with pc's and the other one is for laptop owners. Broadway location: we provide DSL internet access in each unit. Q: Are utilities included? A: Yes, all utilities are included in the rent (except outgoing telephone calls) at the State Street location. All utilities are included in the rent, as well as local telephone calls, at the Broadway location. Q: Are the units furnished? A: Yes, all our units are furnished. State Street: our units are simply furnished, with a twin size bed, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The units are also equipped with a TV, a telephone, a small fridge and a microwave. Broadway: our units are fully furnished and are equipped with a full kitchen (with cooking utensils and china), a TV, and a DVD player. Each unit also comes with an alarm radio, an iron, an iron board, and a vacuum cleaner. Q: Is there a private bathroom in the unit? A: Yes, at both locations, all units have a private bathroom. Q: Is there a kitchen in the unit? A: State St: is equipped with two common kitchens on every floor. A limited number of cooking utensils is available at the front desk. Broadway: yes. Q: Are linens included? A: Yes, they are included. Q: Is there air conditioning and heating in the unit? A: There is no air conditioning but there is heating. Q: Do you provide housekeeping service? A: Yes, we offer weekly housekeeping service for an additional charge of $80 per month at the State Street location and $150 per month at the Broadway location. Miscellaneous Q: Is there nearby transportation? A: Yes, there are a trolley station and bus stops within close walking distance of State Street. There is also a #2 bus stop within walking distance of the Broadway location. For more information about transportation in San Diego, please go to www.sdcommute.com. Q: Do you provide a pick-up service from the airport? A: No. You may want to take a cab to Vantaggio Suites and it should cost you less than $10. A cab ride to the Broadway location may cost more. Q: Is the neighborhood safe? A: Generally, yes, but we encourage you to go online and research both the Golden Hill (Broadway) and Little Italy (State Street) neighborhoods to determine this for yourself. Q: Do you provide breakfast services? A: No, There is however, a deli on site at State St. and it is open from 8 am. Q: Do you have parking spaces? A: Sate St.: yes, we have a parking facility. There is an additional charge of $100 per month or $35 per week for a space. However, our parking spaces are limited and parking reservation is on a first come first served basis. Broadway: an assigned underground parking space is included in the rent. In addition, there are additional parking remote deposits of $20 for State St. and $25 for Broadway. (Refundable) Q: Are Pets allowed? A: No. Q: I am under 18 years old. Can I stay at Vantaggio Suites? A: Without being accompanied by an adult who will be financially responsible, no minor (under 18) is allowed to stay alone at Vantaggio Suites. |
